Question : HELLO! I need help in a big way, can’t seem to get my zte wrap to work for a wireless modem .so i can use laptop on line help please thx.

Answer: Hello John, thanks for your asked. The ZTE Warp is an Android 2.3 smartphone for Boost Mobile. Please make sure it is available for broadcast (you can check that on the WiFi Settings page, in case you use a router). Also, another reason to connectivity issues may be related to the fact that you performed firmware upgrade operations and you flashed the wrong baseband which in this case is something very bad.

To turn on Wi-Fi on this device and connect to a Wi-Fi network, How to set the wireless, please follow these steps:

  1. Look the home screen, tap the Menu key.
  2. Then Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Wireless & networks.
  4. Tap Wi-Fi settings.  But If you finding Wi-Fi is off, tap  check Wi-Fi to know about wirelless connection facility on your area.
  5. The handset will automatically search for networks. To connect, tap the desired network.
  6. If prompted, enter the Password to connect to the network. Tap Connect.

Samsung Star 3 S5220 Duos as Internet Modem

Answer : Hi Umakanta Sahoo , thanks for your ask. To make your device as internet modem please follow this step :

1. Using PC Studio Software

First please download and install this software

Configuration of PC studio to Connect to Internet use pc studio :

  • Please open Internet connector from widgets section.
  • In Internet connector select menu and then connection settings.
  • Enter your Connection  name, Select your country name, Network provider( You can select other if your network provider is not listed), APN name of your network provider, Phone number with your country code, User id which your network provide access to internet, Password and click on add.
  • Now click on Ok and close Internet connection settings.
  • To connect to internet click on connect and give yes to pop up menu. In few minute you will get connected to internet.

2. Using Internet Connection Manager

 Click here to download Internet Connection Manager/Tethering then follow this instruction below:

To connect this phone as internet Before Start Configuration, Note that “Data” Option should be Enable in Android Phone. To Enable “Data”,    Go to settings -> Wireless & Networks -> Mobile Networks –> Data Enable, Check this box (Check Data Roaming in case of Roaming). For Dual Sim Mobile Phones Select Sim1 OR Sim2  for Data Connection.

There are 2 Methods for connect Android Phones to PC OR Laptop for internet( USB and WiFi).

USB tethering
Plug in USB Cable from Your Desktop Computer/Laptop to Android Phone.
In Android phone go to settings -> Wireless & Networks ->Tethering & portable hotspot and tap it.
Now Check “USB Tethering”.

Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot

Configure Wi-Fi Hotspot in Android Phone. For That go to settings -> Wireless & Networks ->Tethering & portable hotspot -> Portable Wi-Fi hotspot settings -> Configure Wi-Fi hotspot.
In Android phone go to settings -> Wireless & Networks ->Tethering & portable hotspot and tap it.
Check “Portable Wi-Fi hotspot”

Note : Don’t forget install before installing all software above

  • Windows Imaging Component (WIC) – Download (wic_x86_enu.exe)
  • .NET Frame work 4 – Download

Ask Topic : How Settings GPRS WAP & MMS Samsung Galaxy S II(O2)

Answer : Hi Jonny , thanks to your ask  sent my site. To setting GPRS WAP & MMS on your Samsung Galaxy S II(O2), please note all steps must be completed to ensure the settings are correctly configured.  You must also read the note on bottom in this answer

Here is the step to follow, .

  1. In the first please Tap the Menu key then Tap Settings > Wireless & network >Tap Mobile networks
  2. Make sure that the Use packet data box has a green tick in it (tap box to change)
  3. Tap Access Point Names >Tap the Menu key >Tap New APN
  4. Tap Name then tap the text box and enter O2 Pay Monthly then tap OK
  5. Tap APN then tap the text box and enter wap.o2.co.uk then tap OK
  6. Tap Proxy then tap the text box and enter 193.113.200.195 then tap OK
  7. Tap Port then tap the text box and enter 8080 then tap OK
  8. Tap Username then tap the text box and enter o2wap then tap OK
  9. Tap Password then tap the text box and enter password then tap OK
  10. Skip past Server as this is preset as Not set
  11. Tap MMSC then tap the text box and enter http://mmsc.mms.o2.co.uk:8002 then tap OK
  12. Tap MMS proxy then tap the text box and enter 193.113.200.195 then tap OK
  13. Tap MMS port then tap the text box and enter 8080 then tap OK
  14. Tap MCC then tap the text box and enter 234 then tap OK
  15. Tap MNC then tap the text box and enter 10 then tap OK
  16. Tap Authentication type and tap PAP >Tap APN type and tap Internet + MMS
  17. Press the Menu key
  18. Tap Save
  19. Tap the circle next to the new profile so a green dot appears in it
  20. Press the Back key four times to return to the main menu.

Note :

  • Please ensure that when entering O2 into the settings that the letter “O” is selected and not a zero.
  • When entering the following information do not press “Save” until told to in the instructions.
