Here is tutorial that may be can help you. First from the home screen (your main screen) press menu> settings> wireless & networks> W-fi settings> touch screen where the green check mark is by Wi-Fi that will disable wi-fi. Then if you ever need it just repeat the steps above and press that box so there a green check in the box.

How to disable the wifi for the cricket huawei ascend m860 android? My phone turned my wifi off and now it wont turn back on . The letters are gray and when i scan it , it wont do nothing can you help me .. How can i reset my wifi ? so i can download Facebook
