Answer : Hi refaiiali, thanks for your asked. How do you enable Skype video calling on my Android phone? . Depending on your Android phone, you may need to manually enable Skype video calling before you can make a video call to your Skype contacts. To do this:

  1. Sign in to Skype.
  2. Press the phone’s menu button or tap the menu icon The Menu icon. on devices running Android 3.0 or higher.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Tick Enable video calling.

If you can’t see the video calling settings, it means your Android phone does not meet the minimum requirements needed to make Skype video calls.

If you are using one of the following applications on your Android phone, you will not be able to make video calls:

  • Skype mobile™ for Verizon
  • Skype on au
  • Skype on Telkomsel
  • Skype on 3

Both of you should click on Help > About Skype to see what version number you’re running.  If it’s not the current version, 5.8.0.154, you should update via this link:

Once you’re both running v5.8, if the problem persists you might try toggling your webcam off then back on.  Sometimes that will jump start the video connection.

If that fails, next time you’re on a call click on Call > Call Technical Info.  Copy and paste the results here which may shed some light on where the problem lies.
